Heather Couvillon Lufburrow

Heather has been leading Lufburrow & Company since 2013. She leads with respect, transparency, and trust for her employees and promotes flat, empowered, agile teams. She is a role model for aspiring executives and technologists within the community as well as an active volunteer in local educational STEM and Economic initiatives. With an extensive background supporting the Chem-Bio defense sector, she now applies her energies toward building trusted teams to rapidly develop and deploy reliable and innovative software solutions for government, commercial, and non-profit organizations.

Andy Lufburrow

Andy understands big vision and delivers results to prove it. Andy has 20+ years of “Big Data” projects for federal and commercial clients. He thrives on solving difficult challenges whether starting new projects or jumping into something that is already underway. His experience includes software architecture, Full Stack DevOps and Software team leadership.

Beth Dixon

Following Beth’s graduation from the US Naval Academy in 2001, she served as a Cryptologic Officer and then joined the cleared contractor community in 2006. After helping build a small company followed by a stint with a large engineering integrator, she has returned to her love of building a strong small company foundation. Beth also enjoys her ongoing search for patience through never-ending home renovations.

Emily Ash

Joining the contracting community immediately after completing her Bachelors in Math, Emily has quickly developed a mastery of making more happen with less in the world of systems engineering, Agile/SCRUM, and data analysis. Emily’s engineering expertise has focused on cloud analytics, cybersecurity, and more. She continues to challenge herself to learn and grow on a daily basis, recently completing her Masters in Systems Engineering from UMBC. Emily and her fiancé’ are now enjoying more free time together post-graduate school through weekend camping trips, boating, and a variety of other outdoor adventures.

Savannah Durbin

Savannah has been working as a Software Engineer since graduating from the University of Maryland in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. She has experience that spans the full stack, including web application development, big data analytics, micro-services architectures, rapid prototyping, and team leadership. When she’s not writing software, you can find her working out at CrossFit or on the links trying to shoot the round of her life!

Rob Gaulden

Midwest Eagle Scout nerd hailing from Wright State University and the Air Force Institute of Technology. Completing his Computer Science Masters in Information Assurance solidified his dedication to the advancement of key management infrastructure and the personnel and data it protects. He now serves as principal level engineering support for these activities, pushing advanced deployment architectures and techniques to streamline deployments on systems of scale…and believes that the best way to settle an argument is still with a pair of ice skates and a hockey stick.

Nikki Gunter

Seeking a path less traveled, Nikki joined the United States Marine Corps as CBRN Defense Specialist. After spending 8 years acquiring expertise in this new world, she has decided to stay the course as a CBRN Technician with LufCo. Nikki is an adventurous being, enjoys watching college football, and playing rec league kickball in the spring and fall.

Jeff Koul

With over 25 years of engineering experience spanning the diverse domains of naval architecture, aerospace structures, aircraft surveillance and communications systems, web advertising optimization, the intelligence community and the internet of things, Jeff is a jack of all trades and a master of some. His diverse background makes it likely that if a customer relates their needs to him, he will find a way to get the team up to speed and working the problem quickly and productively. A team firing on all cylinders and working closely with an engaged customer is win-win for all involved. In order to fight off the effects of long hours thinking hard in front of glowing rectangles, Jeff enjoys running, hiking, paddling and skiing.

Dr. Gary Kuhn

At IDA, Siemens, SAIC and NSA, Gary has led research, development and technology transfer in defense communications, speech recognition, electrical machinery and biomedicine. A member of the New York Academy of Sciences, he works at LufCo with customers and team members – zooming out for overall understanding, and zooming in to implement the details correctly.

Stephanie Liddell

Stephanie worked for the government for a little over three years as an AutoCad specialist and intelligence analyst.  She then decided that moving to a small company was a better fit, and stayed for over a decade.  Continuing to work and adapt to multiple changing environments, she has morphed into a well rounded engineer in a wide range of technical areas from analysis to information assurance.  As LufCo’s newest addition, she is looking forward to a new adventure and stepping back back into small company life along with her husband and three little ones (all under 5…help!)

Brent Luke

Almost six years after accidentally joining the Army, Brent was adopted by Lufburrow and Co. when he refused to stop following them around at job fairs. With a diverse background in signals intelligence, program analytics, satellite communications, linguistics, and having too many cats, he brings an eclectic perspective to the team. While still fairly new to software systems development, he enjoys being challenged by the team to learn and grow his skills with the goal of someday being tasked to lead a development effort of his own.

Colette Marquis

Originally an aspiring mathematician, Colette found her love for software development after taking her first Computer Science class during her Sophomore year in college.  Having been one of the few remaining students to be taught in Ada, she quickly landed an internship in the defense sector and launched her career as a Software Engineer.  From missile simulators and 3D development to middleware and large scale authorization services, Colette has enjoyed seeking new challenges over the course of her 20+ year career.  When not code jamming, she enjoys dabbling in graphic design and has high hopes of becoming a bogey golfer in her lifetime.

Phil McPherson

Phil joined the Intel Community the same year he graduated from Capitol Technology University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering.  Starting as a 24/7 Support Engineer ensuring mission systems remained up and running, he progressed to designing and deploying those same systems within a year and a half. Just over three years into his professional career, he is starting a new chapter – moving into software development – with the LufCo team at his side.

Greg Robinson

Greg started his professional career with LufCo after graduating from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2014 with a degree in Bioinformatics. Diving in to every opportunity provided, he has since gained full stack experience in everything from cloud based architectures and technologies to front-end web application development to installation of rack mounted hardware. When not tending to his saltwater aquarium, Greg enjoys traveling and the occasional game of kickball.

Diana Windsor

With twenty years experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining databases from Oracle to MongoDB and Postgres, Diana joined the LufCo team in 2017. Drawn to the company’s family oriented outlook and diversity of projects, she enjoys the wealth of knowledge the team brings and the unique part she plays in that mix.  In her spare time, you can find Diana attending sporting events – some even just for fun…the rest in support of her three very active kids – and vacationing (aka recovering) at the beach.

Gabe Wright

Gabe is a grassroots technologist bringing over 24 years of diverse professional experience in the trade crafts of System Engineering, Secure Architectures, and Analytics in both federal and commercial sectors. His key interests and strengths are deeply rooted in Cyber and IA platform technology integrations supporting DoD clients. He enjoys spending time with his family and charting his next outdoors cycling trail adventures.

David Norris

After spending almost a decade in the Navy and graduating from University of Maryland University College with a B.S. in Cybersecurity, David joined the LufCo community as a Front-End Engineer. He is passionate about connecting technologies to create interactive user experiences, and is delving into back-end and database technologies. In his spare time, he enjoys building full-stack web applications, powerlifting, strongman sports, and competitive shooting.
